BET Honors 2014 live on BET Feb 24, 2014

he annual event which honors influential figures in the worlds of entertainment, literature, and philanthropy, this year paid homage to legends such as Aretha Franklin, Nelson Mandela, and Motown maestro Berry Gordy. Set to air on BET on February 24th, pics of the night’s performances which came courtesy of Mariah Carey, Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Hudson, Janelle Monae, and more have surfaced.

They will honor Berry Gordy, Aretha Franklin, musician and actor Ice Cube, and more. The honors will be pre-recorded in two days on February 8th. Reverend Al Sharpton will be co-hosting with Brady. The show will take place Saturday at the theater in downtown Washington. BET Honors highlights African Americans performing at top levels in the areas of music, literature, entertainment, education and more. The 2014 BET Honors Awards will air Monday, February 24 at 9P/8C.
